Hospice patients & families need your support all year round.... and this is the only major fundraiser in 2025.

At UnityPoint Hospice, we provide compassionate end-of-life care with dignity and respect. Our team supports patients and families with expert medical care, emotional comfort and spiritual guidance.

You can make a meaningful impact by supporting local hospice care through the Allen Foundation and through this Hops for Hospice event. Donations help fund essential services like patient care, bereavement support and the Giving It Forward Together (G.I.F.T) fund. This special fund provides materials not covered by insurance and is a way to grant an end-of-life wish, fulfilling a special request like going fishing for the day, or something simple like purchasing a comfortable pillow.

Turbo the miniature horse made a day very special for one of our hospice patients. Vonnie grew up on a farm and loved horses. Turbo's visit had her singing and brought back many happy memories.

Military veterans receive special recognition within the hospice program and during the holidays, the G.I.F.T. fund presents each patient with a token gift to commemorate their years of service.

This special chair is designed to provide extra support for patients but isn't covered by some medical insurance plans. The G.I.F.T. fund made sure this hospice patient could use it in his time of need.
